“How many books are you reading at a time?” I hear this all the time based on my activity on my Goodreads account. The truth is I start a lot of books, but I also keep a busy schedule and rarely finish any. The piles of books that I’ve started and abandoned is large.
I want to document and share the reality of my reading journey. This blog series aims to change that by holding me accountable to the books I’ve started, continued to read, kept in idle, abandoned, and finished.
June 2022 was my starting point on this book journey, so I’m building off of that post for this post.

Continued to Read
North: Finding My Way While Running the Appalachian Trail by Scott Jurek and Jenny Jurek
- I was still in a bit of a running rut in July. I’m finding this book to be inspirational.
Idle
The Omnivore’s Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals by Michael Pollan
- The first chapter is all about corn … Haven’t read since June.
I like these type of blog posts because they are short and easy to digest. Hope you enjoy them too!
