Today’s Sports Article is a new unit in my Sports Literature course that morphed out of Article of the Week. These posts will be simple shares of what was assigned for students to read/watch and reflect on.

Today’s Sports Article was the MHSAA’s recent decision regarding PBAs aka NIL deals for student-athletes!

Students Reflected

  1. Do you think high school athletes should be able to profit off of their name, image, and likeness? Why or why not?
  2. What do you think about the PBA/NIL guidelines/protocol put in place by MHSAA? Why?
  3. If you are/were a student-athlete, are/would you pursue PBAs? Why or why not?
  4. Brainstorm 3-5 questions that you could/want to ask the Athletic Director about school policy, MHSAA, PBAs, etc.
