As of yesterday, Saturday, January 11, 2025, the title for MCTE’s Fall Conference 2025 has changed!
The original title was revealed during MCTE’s Fall Conference 2024:
INSPIRE, ADVOCATE, AND EMPOWER:
CULTIVATING VOICES IN THE ENGLISH CLASSROOM
Tons of friends and colleagues wanted me to tell them all about the October 2025 conference at the National Council of Teachers of English Annual Convention a few months ago in November. I kept stumbling over “inspire”, “advocate”, and “empower”. I also could not remember the order for the life of me.
“Cultivating Voices in the English Classroom” was what I would recall.
One friend finally told me to make it simpler for everyone’s sake. While delivered a bit harsh, I knew it came from a good place.
So that’s what the title of the conference will be! I shared this update with MCTE’s Executive Committee yesterday. There has also been a date change to October 17, 2025.
