April is National Poetry Month! I’m celebrating National Poetry Month in my classroom with a Poem of the Day. Each day I’m sharing the poems my students and I read, along with prompts, resources, and reflection.
Instead of working on a Poem of the Day today, students were asked about their thoughts on the Blackout Poetry activity from Friday in a Question of the Day in Google Forms.
Disclaimer: This debrief was graded for completion.
At the time of posting this blog, 109 students have responded out of 121 total students. I do not have a late penalty for late work, so students have until the end of April to complete to share their thoughts.
The only element of the responses that I’m going to share is the breakdown of how students felt doing the Blackout Poetry activity.
Overall, it was a positive activity that I hope our school library continues to do to celebrate Poetry Month!
